The Jeep Wagoneer is gearing up for an electrifying transformation, with plans to unveil an electrified model by the end of 2025, produced alongside its gas counterpart at the Warren Truck Assembly Plant.

According to recent updates, the electrified Wagoneer will utilize a series plug-in hybrid powertrain derived from the 2025 Ram 1500 Ramcharger, ensuring robust performance. Stellantis has announced an investment of approximately $97.6 million to upgrade the Warren Truck Assembly Plant in preparation for the electrified Wagoneer's production.

This electrified Wagoneer is one of four Jeep EVs anticipated to debut globally by the end of 2025, though it is expected to be a series plug-in hybrid rather than a fully electric vehicle. Built on Stellantis' STLA Frame platform, the 1500 Ramcharger will feature a combination of a 92-kWh battery and a 3.6-liter V6 engine, acting solely as a generator, delivering a peak output of 663 horsepower, with an electric-only range of 145 miles and a combined range of 690 miles when using both battery and gas engine. Similar performance figures are expected for the electrified Wagoneer.
News of the electrified Wagoneer was first indicated in a UAW document published in November 2023, which also mentioned a fully electric Wagoneer set to launch in 2027, alongside refreshes for the gas Wagoneer in 2025 and 2027, likely aligning with the launch of the electrified and electric versions. Additionally, Stellantis confirmed that the 1500 Ramcharger and the 2025 Ram 1500 REV electric truck will be produced at the Sterling Heights plant, where the gas 1500 is assembled. Lastly, the Dundee Engine Plant will also manufacture components for the STLA Frame and STLA Large platforms, along with new 1.6-liter turbo-4 engines for a hybrid powertrain launching in 2025.
