Since its arrival in the UAE in 2022, Chinese automaker BYD has quickly established a strong presence in the electric vehicle segment through a strategic partnership with Al-Futtaim. This entry was more than just the launch of new models, it aligned perfectly with the UAE’s national vision to promote sustainability and embrace modern electric mobility solutions. Today, BYD stands out as one of the fastest growing brands in the country, attracting car enthusiasts with its diverse lineup, competitive pricing, and comprehensive after sales services.

The Official Entry of BYD in the UAE

BYD launched its first fully electric cars in the UAE at the beginning of 2023, unveiling the Atto 3 and Han in collaboration with Al Futtaim during the Future Mobility Day event. The lineup quickly expanded to include the sporty Seal sedan and the Sealion 7 electric coupe SUV. With these launches, the UAE became the first market in the GCC region to officially welcome BYD’s full range of electric models.

This expansion highlights the country’s commitment to increasing the adoption of eco friendly vehicles while reinforcing the UAE’s position as a leading market in embracing the latest automotive technologies.

Official Dealer and After Sales Services

Al Futtaim Electric Mobility serves as the exclusive dealer for BYD in the UAE, overseeing sales, maintenance, and spare parts. The company achieved a notable milestone by selling over 1,000 vehicles within just one year, supported by thousands of showroom visits from interested customers.

Al Futtaim has set ambitious plans to expand its network to cover 90 percent of the UAE market by the end of 2024, with new showrooms scheduled to open in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Ras Al Khaimah. Looking ahead to 2025, the company is preparing to introduce mobile service vans that bring maintenance directly to customers’ homes, adding even more convenience to the ownership experience.

Showrooms and Service Centers

BYD showrooms are strategically located across the UAE to serve customers nationwide. In Dubai, there are branches in Festival City and Al Quoz on Sheikh Zayed Road, while Abu Dhabi hosts a modern showroom in Rabdan near Al Maqta Bridge. Additional locations have been established in Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah, ensuring easier access across the Emirates.

These centers provide a complete customer journey, from purchasing vehicles to after sales care, while also featuring fast charging facilities. In partnership with global firms like Siemens, the brand continues to strengthen the country’s electric charging infrastructure.
