The all-new Jetour Traveler was recently launched in China and not only does it feature a refreshed exterior design, it also comes with a powerful 2.0-litre engine. The car now comes with two engine options, 1.5-litre and 2.0-litre, with a price range of 139,900 to 184,900 yuan, or $19,100 to $25,200.
In terms of sales, the Jetour Traveler achieved sales of 15,523 units in September, reflecting a remarkable year-on-year increase of 189.4%, although it saw a month-on-month decline of 6.2%. As of September 2024, its cumulative sales have reached 121,349 units.
The new car features a uniquely designed front, with an updated bumper and grille that sport an irregular shape and chrome accents, while the black rectangular headlights add a dynamic touch. Meanwhile, the brand lettering “JETOUR” has been repositioned at the top of the grille and painted black, maintaining a boxy silhouette.
The rear retains a boxy design with a side-opening tailgate, vertical taillights, and a high-mounted brake light. Moreover, the new car is equipped with new 19-inch aluminum alloy wheels, broad muscular wheel arches, new side steps, and a roof luggage rack, while the A, B, and C pillars are painted black.
Measuring 4785/2022/1910 mm in length, width, and height respectively, the vehicle has a wheelbase of 2800 mm and a curb weight of 1898 kg, with an approach angle of 26 degrees and a departure angle of 28 degrees. The engine delivers a maximum power of 251 horsepower and a peak torque of 390 Nm. Additionally, a 7-speed DCT transmission is also expected.
