Leapmotor is strengthening its position in the electric vehicle market with the launch of the refreshed C11, now available for presale in China at a starting price of 158,800 yuan (22,160 USD - 81,386 AED). Backed by global automotive giant Stellantis, the updated C11 features significant upgrades in both design and technology. Offered in two variants, a fully electric model and an extended range hybrid, the C11 reflects Leapmotor’s ambition to expand globally following its major partnership with Stellantis in 2024.
Bold Design and a More Practical Cabin
The exterior of the new C11 model brings bolder and more refined styling updates, highlighted by a redesigned front bumper and seamlessly integrated headlights. Unlike previous versions, there is now no visual difference between the fully electric and range extended variants, as both share the same unified design. The front features an active trapezoidal grille, while the rear adopts a full width light bar that gives the car a clean and contemporary look.
Inside the cabin, significant changes elevate the overall feel. The previous triple screen layout has been replaced by a floating 17 inch 2K central touchscreen. The steering wheel now adopts a two spoke D-shaped design, while the center tunnel has been reengineered to include dual wireless charging pads and a hidden storage compartment, improving both convenience and comfort for daily use.
Two Powertrain Options to Suit Every Driving Style
The Leapmotor C11 offers two distinct powertrain configurations tailored to meet different driver preferences. The extended range hybrid version is equipped with a 1.5 liter gasoline engine that acts as a generator, producing 70 kW (94 hp). This engine supports a powerful 200 kW (268 hp) electric motor paired with a 41.7 kWh battery. This setup enables the vehicle to travel up to 210 kilometers in pure electric mode under WLTC standards, and it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.6 seconds.
On the other hand, the fully electric variant features a more powerful rear-mounted electric motor delivering 220 kW (295 hp), powered by an 81.9 kWh LFP battery. It offers a driving range of up to 640 kilometers based on the CLTC cycle. This version sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.1 seconds, an impressive figure considering the car's size, which measures 4780 mm in length, 1905 mm in width, and 1658 mm in height.
Smart Features and a Touch of Tech Luxury
The extended range hybrid version of the Leapmotor C11 is priced between 158,800 and 168,800 yuan, approximately 22,160 to 23,560 USD (81,386 - 86,511 AED). It comes standard with a roof mounted LiDAR sensor and a powerful Qualcomm SA8295P chip, enhancing its intelligent driving capabilities. The top tier trim adds a massive 60 inch augmented reality head up display, premium Nappa leather seats, and a high end audio system with 21 speakers, offering a refined and immersive cabin experience.
On the other hand, the fully electric variant ranges from 165,800 to 175,800 yuan, roughly 23,140 to 24,530 USD (84,973 - 90,098 AED), positioning it as a strong contender in the mid size EV segment. Its appeal lies in the balanced mix of performance, advanced features, and interior comfort that it brings to the table.
The updated C11 showcases Leapmotor’s evolution in aligning its vision with global market expectations, backed by strategic partnerships that fuel its growth. With a record breaking 46,008 units sold in June 2025, the model is poised for broader international success, including a potential debut in Gulf markets where demand for smart, efficient vehicles continues to rise.
