The supplier in question is likely Recaro. A company official stated that the specific supplier was in a pre-bankruptcy position. Recaro Automotive filed for bankruptcy at the end of July, indicating “significant financial difficulties due to severe price increases in recent years and the loss of a major contract.” The company planned to continue producing seats and fulfilling current orders during bankruptcy. It remains unclear if anything has changed since then.
The production line in Hambach is facing a critical shortage of components beyond the company's control, causing our production schedule to stop. The brand has launched its vehicles in more than 45 countries around the world and is entering new key markets like Mexico and China this month. The company aims to produce 200,000 vehicles.
