The General Transport Authority of Saudi Arabia has recently launched a campaign encouraging citizens and visitors to only deal with licensed carriers and to avoid any unlicensed transporters. The authority stated that the Saudi transport system offers numerous legitimate options for reaching various destinations safely and comfortably.
Moreover, it noted that citizens can register on licensed passenger transport applications to begin the correct journey, confirming that over 30 applications are waiting for willing users to join.
The authority emphasized the reasons for choosing licensed carriers:
- Safety, as dealing with a licensed transporter allows for real-time tracking of the trip, and if something is lost, it can be easily retrieved.
- Flexible payment options, providing diverse and easy payment solutions.
- A comfortable travel experience through qualified drivers and vehicles that adhere to high safety standards.
On the other hand, reliance on unlicensed carriers leads to a lack of safety standards, dealing with unqualified drivers, and potential loss of personal belongings.
