ZEEKR Launches the Space-Inspired MiX in China

ZEEKR is no stranger to the automotive market, especially in the family car segment, and its latest offering, the MiX, starts at $39,315, capturing attention as a remarkable new vehicle. This model is hailed as the 'daily car of the future,' inspired by the design of the Tiangong space station, featuring a unique 'capsule-like' exterior, with a streamlined body and a curved 'Arc Sky' roof complemented by a massive glass top, giving it an otherworldly appearance. The interior of the MiX is equally stunning, equipped with a 2413mm Stargate light curtain that houses over 1960 LED lights, capable of displaying various messages. Additionally, the door handles are cleverly hidden, and the trunk space is thoughtfully designed, featuring 19 or 20-inch wheels and unique double sliding doors that provide an opening width of 1480mm. In terms of dimensions, the MiX measures 4688mm in length, 1995mm in width, and 1775mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3008mm, which is significantly shorter than mini vans like the Honda Odyssey, yet offers a similar wheelbase. In its interior layout, ZEEKR aims to create a warm atmosphere akin to a 'living room', featuring an S-shaped dashboard equipped with a 13-inch digital display and a 15-inch infotainment system. The front seats are electrically adjustable and can rotate 270 degrees to face the rear passengers, upholstered in Nappa leather, and equipped with heating, ventilation, and massage features. Between the front seats is an electric central control unit that slides back and forth on a 2-meter track and can be equipped with a refrigerator and various attachments, including large and small tables. The rear seats provide ample legroom and are equipped with heating, ventilation, and massage features, with the right rear seat also having an electric leg rest and a footrest available at the back of the front seat. Additionally, the MiX features a flat floor and a microfiber headliner, complemented by a 21-speaker audio system that impresses. It also offers a 50-watt wireless charger, a fragrance system, and spacious storage featuring a 220-volt outlet along with 568 liters of luggage space. The MiX is built on the SEA-M platform, featuring 800-volt technology along with two batteries. The smaller one is a 76-kWh lithium iron phosphate unit providing a range of 550 km. When the battery is low, it can charge from 10% to 80% in just 10.5 minutes. For customers needing greater range, a 102-kWh nickel manganese cobalt battery is available, capable of exceeding 700 km between charges. This vehicle powers a rear-mounted motor producing 416 horsepower and 440 Nm of torque, enabling the MiX to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds, showcasing robust performance.
