XPENG AEROHT, the flying car subsidiary of XPENG Motors, made history in Dubai by launching the first manned flight of its electric flying car, the Land Aircraft Carrier. The company unveiled its global brand ARIDGE, marking a new era in urban air mobility and announcing a landmark deal to deliver 600 units to key partners across the Gulf region.

This high-profile debut wasn’t just a flight—it was a declaration. During the event, XPENG unveiled its new global brand identity: ARIDGE, a name symbolizing the bridge between earth and sky. The company also announced a record-breaking bulk order of 600 flying cars from leading business groups across the Middle East, including Ali & Sons (UAE), Al Mana Group (Qatar), Al Sayer Group (Kuwait), and the Chinese-Arab Chamber of Commerce.

With this deal, XPENG confirmed that the GCC will become its first official international market, with consumer deliveries expected by 2027.

Land Aircraft Carrier: The World’s First Commercially Ready Flying Car

XPENG’s Land Aircraft Carrier is not a concept—it’s a near-production vehicle that merges a road-capable electric platform with a detachable dual-seat aircraft. The ground unit features a 6×6 tri-axle layout with all-wheel drive, powered by an 800V SiC electric architecture that delivers over 1,000 kilometers of driving range.

The flying unit, stored neatly in the vehicle’s rear compartment, includes four foldable rotors and fast-charging capability (30% to 80% in just 18 minutes). A full charge enables five to six short flights, and users can choose between manual or autonomous flight control.

XPENG also developed an industry-first smart separation system that allows the aircraft to detach and reconnect automatically, turning the vehicle into a personal air mobility hub. No pilot license is required for the ground mode—just a standard driver’s license.

From China to the World: XPENG’s Flying Car Enters Mass Production

XPENG has completed construction of its first fully automated flying car factory in Guangzhou, China. This state-of-the-art facility will begin large-scale production in 2026, with a capacity to produce 10,000 units per year—one flying car every 30 minutes.

With the Middle East identified as its first official export market, XPENG is working closely with aviation authorities across the UAE, Qatar, and Kuwait to establish regulatory frameworks for low-altitude urban air mobility. Plans include setting up urban flight zones, certification hubs, and support centers in key cities across the region.

Introducing A868: XPENG’s Long-Range Flying Vehicle for Intercity Travel

In addition to the Land Aircraft Carrier, XPENG also revealed its upcoming long-range hybrid flying car, Project A868, which is currently in development. Designed for intercity travel, A868 is expected to offer over 500 kilometers of range and a top speed exceeding 360 km/h.

The vehicle will make its official debut in November 2025 in Guangzhou, expanding XPENG’s product strategy to include commercial and private air transport on longer routes, not just urban mobility.

The Future of Air Mobility Starts Here

According to the Boston Consulting Group, the global market for electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft is projected to reach $225 billion by 2040, with the Middle East alone accounting for $11.7 billion, and personal air travel comprising 85 percent of that share.

XPENG AEROHT is not just chasing that future—it’s shaping it. From breakthrough engineering to smart autonomy and global rollout strategies, the company is redefining what mobility means. With Dubai as its launchpad, XPENG is turning the dream of flying cars into a reality.
