Following its global debut , BMW revealed a range of optional accessories and M Performance parts for the high-performance electric sedan, the M5. These parts and accessories are said to provide enhancements in design and improved aerodynamics. The BMW M Performance package includes a more pronounced two-piece front splitter, dynamic side extensions with integrated add-ons, a larger rear wing, and a dual rear diffuser. The latter covers the significantly sculpted lower part of the rear bumper, adding more strength to the M5's rear.

All new components and parts are handcrafted from carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) and feature a clear finish. BMW has also provided titanium and carbon fiber mixed exhaust tips, adorned with M5 badges.

The body parts package can be combined with optional black M Performance side badges. Lastly, the air intake cover and fuel cap add more carbon to the vehicle, with the fuel cap featuring a polished aluminum M Performance badge. A new set of lighter M Performance wheels will be available in the summer of 2025.

As for the interior, current options are limited to new floor mats with contrasting stitching and M Performance branding, and a new key fob made from soft black Nappa leather. Finally, the BMW M tire bags offer a unique touch for storing an extra set of tires and may cost significantly more than the base price of $119,500.

The BMW M5 continues to operate with a hybrid V8 engine producing 717 horsepower and 1000 Nm of torque. While this power is more than sufficient for a luxury sedan, the new model weighs 2445 kg, making it 463 kg heavier than its predecessor.
