Recently, there have been media reports that Chery Automobile will consider building a factory in the UK, and Chery Automobile has responded to this news, saying that it is only in the research stage and has not yet made a final decision.
In June last year, local media in the UK reported that Chery was in talks with the British side to explore the possibility of building cars there.
Although it is still undecided whether to build a plant in the UK, Chery is accelerating its expansion in the global auto market.
Data shows that Chery's export business is strong, with the group's exports reaching 720,300 units in the first eight months of this year, up 25.2 per cent year-on-year and accounting for 47.8 per cent of the group's overall sales.
And in the field of electric cars, Chery's sales reached 46,626 units in August, up 158.5 per cent year-on-year, while its cumulative sales of new energy vehicles from January to August totalled 272,847 units, up 187 per cent year-on-year.
