The turnaround signaled that Tesla has once again demonstrated its strong market presence in a highly competitive market.

In the third quarter, Tesla sold 479,000 vehicles, well ahead of BYD's 429,000 units. The gap is particularly pronounced in the global markets, especially in North America and Europe, where Tesla dominates. Despite BYD's strong performance in China, its international expansion has been relatively slow, providing Tesla with a good opportunity to compete.
Hot models support: Model 3 and Model Y
Tesla was able to regain the top spot thanks to the continued sales of its Model 3 and Model Y. The new models launched in the third quarter, in particular, have been a big success.
