Geely Galaxy begins a new chapter in its hybrid journey with the release of the first official images of the upcoming A7 sedan, signaling that its commercial launch may be just around the corner. This move aligns with the Chinese automaker’s broader strategy to expand its footprint in the new energy vehicle (NEV) sector, following the growing success of its previous models both within China and globally. With its modern design, outstanding fuel efficiency, and remarkable driving range, the A7 is expected to capture the attention of sedan enthusiasts across the GCC region.

Refined Design and Thoughtful Dimensions for Enhanced Comfort and Luxury

The official images of the Geely Galaxy A7 reveal a bold and precise design language, blending sporty elements with sleek elegance to create a distinct visual identity. At the front, the sedan showcases slim headlamps and dynamic air intakes that reflect Geely’s contemporary design philosophy, while the fluid lines along the sides give the car a sophisticated, commanding presence on the road.

In terms of size, the A7 measures approximately 4,918 mm in length, 1,905 mm in width, and 1,495 mm in height, riding on a wheelbase of 2,845 mm. These proportions provide excellent stability at high speeds and translate into a spacious cabin that comfortably accommodates five passengers. The A7 ranks among the most spacious sedans in its class, offering generous headroom and legroom, especially in the rear seats. A large trunk further adds to its practicality, making it well suited for both daily commutes and family travel.

Smart Hybrid Powertrain and Exceptional Fuel Efficiency

The Geely A7 relies on a cutting edge hybrid powertrain that combines a 1.5 liter gasoline engine delivering a peak output of 82 kW with an electric unit powered by lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries supplied by top tier companies like CATL and CALB. Known for their durability and heat resistance, these batteries are particularly well suited for driving in GCC region climates.

When the battery charge runs low, the A7 achieves an impressive fuel consumption rate of around 2 liters per 100 kilometers, placing it among the most efficient hybrid sedans in its class. With a fully charged battery and a full fuel tank, the A7 can travel up to 2,100 kilometers on a single cycle. This extended range gives drivers the freedom to cover long distances without frequent stops, making it an ideal companion for cross country trips within Saudi Arabia or across the wider GCC region.

Rapid Expansion and Impressive Growth for the Brand

The A7 is the latest model to join the Geely Galaxy lineup, a brand that became independent in March 2025 after previously operating under Geely Auto. Since that transition, Geely Galaxy has experienced significant growth, especially following the integration of Geometry models into the lineup in October 2024. The current portfolio includes hybrid models like the Starshine 8 and L6, as well as the fully electric E8, which stands out for its strong performance and modern design.

Sales figures reflect the growing demand for the brand, with Geely Galaxy recording 101,845 units sold in May alone, representing an impressive year on year increase of 273 percent. During the same month, Geely Auto’s total sales reached 235,208 vehicles. Within these figures, plug in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) accounted for 42,981 units, while battery electric vehicles (BEVs) reached nearly 95,000 units, highlighting the accelerating shift toward clean energy vehicles in both the Chinese and global markets.
