About Cartea
Cartea is an automotive content and service platform serving the Middle East and the Arab world. Our mission is to build “Arab Automotive Headlines” — a trusted source of timely, professional, and relevant automotive content for Arabic-speaking audiences.
As our content coverage expands across Arab countries, we are recruiting Local Freelance Editors to help us deliver fast, authentic, and locally relevant automotive stories.
What You Will Do
1⃣ Local Automotive Content Creation
Independently produce automotive articles and photo content, including:
Local automotive news and events
Brand and dealer activities
Buying guides and popular local models
Ensure timely publication, especially for local events and announcements
2⃣ Video Shooting & Editing
Shoot and edit local automotive videos, such as:
Event coverage
Dealer visits
Simple car-related content
Short-form or quick-edit videos are acceptable
Mobile phone shooting is sufficient
3⃣ Represent Cartea at Local Automotive Events
Attend automotive brand events, dealer events, and car clubs as a Cartea Local Editor
Represent Cartea professionally and build basic connections with local industry players
No sales responsibilities required
What We’re Looking For
Must-Have Requirements
Currently living in the local country
Fluent in Arabic, with good English communication skills
Ability to independently produce written content
Ability to shoot and edit basic videos
Strong interest in the automotive industry and car culture
Nice to Have (Optional)
Experience in media, content platforms, or social media
Familiarity with local automotive brands, dealers, or car communities
Existing content portfolio or social media presence
Compensation & Collaboration
This is a freelance / part-time role
Payment is based on content output, projects, or monthly collaboration
Flexible working arrangement
High-performing contributors may be considered for deeper or long-term cooperation
