النقل تؤكد على ضرورة معرفة العميل لالتزاماته قبل استئجار سيارة وتوقيع العقد الموحد

The Public Transport Authority of Saudi Arabia stresses the importance of customers confirming and understanding their responsibilities before renting a car through an infographic it published. It states that anyone seeking to rent a car must be aware of the obligations they need to adhere to before signing the unified electronic rental contract.

Additionally, it's crucial to pay special attention to the following when renting a car:
– Ensure that the contract details, including the duration and cost, are correct before signing.
– Return the vehicle on the date and time specified in the contract while being mindful of the fuel ratio.
– Notify the lessor of any mechanical issues that occur with the vehicle.

Furthermore, the authority clarified the benefits of the unified electronic contract for renting cars. It stated that it ensures the protection of all parties' rights, and its significance lies in:
– Ensuring the technical efficiency of rental cars.
– Protecting the rights of all parties.
– Clarifying everyone’s obligations.

The first phase of the unified electronic contract was implemented in July 2021, followed by the second phase in September 2021. The Public Transport Authority began implementing unified rental contracts for cars through the Transport Portal service and mandated rental establishments to issue all car rental contracts through this service. This service allows licensed establishments to issue a complete unified contract that meets all requirements and legal terms, helping to protect the rights of both the lessor and the lessee and enhancing the trust and quality of the rental service.

The contract includes the contract number, location, timing, and the start and end of the contract. It also includes the details of the lessor and lessee, the lessor's driver information, and the details of the vehicle itself. It further contains rental information such as duration, cost, excess kilometer charges, number of hours delayed, and the geographical area where the vehicle is permitted to move.
